About Me

J K Brandau
J. K. Brandau was born in Richmond, VA in 1949 and raised on the city's Southside amidst vestiges of the Old South. Chief interests in his withdrawn adolescence were TV, history, model planes, and dangerous homemade rockets (a common mischief during the Space Race). Faith in Jesus Christ overcame severe stuttering, adiposity and a troubled home life. Brandau graduated from Old Dominion University in 1971 with a B.S. in Chemistry and is a senior chemist for Northrop Grumman Corporation. Experience ranges from the U.S.S. Monitor preservation to the space shuttle program. Avocations span broad interests in history and Biblical studies. He also enjoys cycling. Brandau served twenty years with Royal Rangers (boys ministry). He and his wife support a number of Christian ministries. They have one grown son.
